The process in calling a new pastor has begun. The Session has elected a subcommittee to create a slate for the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC).

Circle 2 Kickoff
Circle 2 will have it’s annual kickoff on Thursday September 12. It will be “SCREEN PORCH & SALAD” event and is always well attended. We will be meeting at 6:30 at the home of Joanne Masters.

Here we are! The heat of the summer! There are very few special things happening at the church this summer, but we are here, and we have a lot to be thankful for. First of all, we have a new administrative assistant in the office. We are working on her hours because she is taking up some of Debbie’s responsibilities and those of Denise. Denise has sold her home and is moving to Arkansas to be with her daughter and grandchildren.

Our summer program is in full swing with field trips, water days, and fun summer activities. The hot days mean indoor activities in the afternoons; including dance parties, cold treats, bounce houses and pajama movie days on the big screen!

As I mentioned last month, our Providence Musician rehearsal schedule is different for the summer months. Chancel Choir will meet 3 times in June for Wednesday rehearsals; then, we will not meet on a regular basis during the summer months. Schools in this district start back August 7.
