Making a joyful noise
Providence’s Chancel Choir is the centerpiece of our music ministry, connecting us to the message each Sunday through anthems that inspire, comfort and uplift. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night from 6:15 – 7:30.
Providence’s Instrument Group adds a rich dimension to our worship experience in special performances throughout the year. The ensemble currently features brass, woodwinds and strings, with players of every age and talent level.
Adult and Youth Handbells
Handbell choirs are a great way for everyone to be part of worship through music. Practices are typically on Sunday afternoons in support of special performances throughout the year.
Our Young Singers group brings elementary and middle-school aged children together ready to raise an even more joyful noise. Practices are typically on Sunday afternoons in support of special performances throughout the year.
Each summer, a gaggle of our finest musicians — elementary, youth and adult —make the trip to Montreat for the annual Music and Worship Conference. This mountain-top retreat in one of the most peaceful environments imaginable is an experience that forges lifelong bonds among the Providence family.
