Read MoreHere we are! The heat of the summer! There are very few special things happening at the church this summer, but we are here, and we have a lot to be thankful for. First of all, we have a new administrative assistant in the office. We are working on her hours because she is taking up some of Debbie’s responsibilities and those of Denise. Denise has sold her home and is moving to Arkansas to be with her daughter and grandchildren.

Our summer program is in full swing with field trips, water days, and fun summer activities. The hot days mean indoor activities in the afternoons; including dance parties, cold treats, bounce houses and pajama movie days on the big screen!

The week of June 16-21 was the Worship and Music Conference in Montreat, NC. I was so glad and grateful to be there in person after 4 years of doing the conference virtually.

Read MoreAs I mentioned last month, our Providence Musician rehearsal schedule is different for the summer months. Chancel Choir will meet 3 times in June for Wednesday rehearsals; then, we will not meet on a regular basis during the summer months. Schools in this district start back August 7.
