May 2026

May is a busy month for celebrations. May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation week. May 6-12 is Nurses Appreciation week. May 7 our 4k CDC students will have their graduation ceremony. May 10 is Mother’s Day. There will be high school and college graduation ceremonies in May for a couple of our members. May 24 is Pentecost when we will celebrate the birthday of the Christian church. Lots of opportunities to celebrate and give thanks to God!

I want to share with you my prayer for our congregation and Child Development Center.

Gracious God, thank you for all the many blessings that you have bestowed upon us, your children. Through your providence, you have gathered us to be your ambassadors and equipped us with the tools and talents to share your love. Thank you for opportunities to share in the growth and nurturing of the youngest members of our community through the ministry of our Child Development Center. Thank you, Lord, for giving us enough resources and talents that we can share in the feeding of people in our community through the Holy Casseroley ministry.

Almighty God, I ask your continued blessings on the members and ministries of Providence Presbyterian Church. Guide us in the way that you would have us to go. Enable us to see the needs of our neighbors and grant us the courage and energy to try to meet those needs. Soften our hearts so that we can love each other as you love us. May all that we do bring glory and honor to you, O God. Amen.
