MUSIC NOTES

August, 2022

August is here, and school will be starting back soon. The beginning of the Church Program Year follows soon after. I am hoping, as you begin plans for the 2022 – 2023 school/church year, that you will include Providence Worship, activities, and events in your schedule. All of our Providence Musicians choirs will be rehearsing again beginning in September. Of course, Chancel Choir continues Wednesday evening rehearsals year-round, with a few summer breaks. (Chancel Choir will not rehearse on August 3 and 10.) I want to thank our faithful Chancel Choir singers for your good work all summer. It’s been fun! Instrument Group and Adult Handbell Choir will meet again on Sunday afternoons during the Program Year. I look forward to seeing all of our musicians regularly soon.

All choirs welcome new members. If you like to sing/play music and you are not in a choir, I hope that you will join us as we lead Worship through music. Let me know if you have any questions. Watch the newsletters, bulletins, and emails for scheduling details for the fall.

I want to express my gratitude to our amazing Providence Musicians. I look forward to the coming year with you. Thanks to all of you, friends, for your support of our music ministry at Providence.
