Is cooking your love language? We’ve made it as easy as pie to become a Holy Casseroley chef!

Recipes

Volunteer cooks may prepare any one of five casserole dishes. You are not required to use these exact recipes, as long as you put together the same basic dish. These dishes work because they are pre-cooked, so all the recipients have to do is defrost them and cook them for about 30 minutes.

Recipe Sizes

You may prepare full-sized casseroles (9x12) or half-sized casseroles (8x8). Each of the recipes — except for the Shepherd’s Pie — makes one, full-size casserole or two, half-size casseroles.

Pans and Labels for Your Casserole

We recommend disposable aluminum casseroles with aluminum covers. These are better for freezing casseroles as opposed to pans with cardboard covers (although if you can only find pans with the cardboard covers, that is fine). In either case, just make sure you seal the cover tightly.

Aluminum pans and lids in both sizes and recipe labels are available for pick up at Providence Presbyterian Church. Please affix an official Holy Casseroley recipe label on your casserole prior to or during delivery and write your first name on it, so the recipient can know a loving person made it!

Tips

  • Disposable aluminum or cardboard baking pans with clear plastic tops are NOT freezer quality.

  • If you’d like to print your labels out on Avery labels, the correct size is 3.75 x 4.75. You can purchase the correct kind here.
