Music Notes

November 2026

It’s November already, and Thanksgiving will be here soon. I want to say thank you to our wonderful Providence Musicians for your good work and joyful spirits all year long. Your music is an inspiration to me and to many others.

All of our musicians are busy with music for our Advent/Christmas Program and, of course, for Sunday Worship through the end of the year. Our Advent/Christmas Music Program will be on Sunday morning, December 6, during Worship. All choirs – Chancel Choir, Adult Handbell Choir, and Instrument Group – will participate.

The weeks of November – December include the following seasonal Worship services:

Nov. 1 All Saints’ Sunday

Nov. 22 Christ the King Sunday

Nov. 29 1st Sunday of Advent

Dec. 6 Advent/Christmas Program (11:00 Worship)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services

(This year, Christmas Day is on a Friday.)

Watch for announcements about these and other happenings.

As we think of autumn and the seasons of Advent and Christmas here at Providence, we envision beautiful Worship, happy fellowship, special events and gatherings, and just being together in this Holy Place. I hope that you will plan to be here for everything.

Best wishes to all of you for a happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of you.

Love,

Donna
