August 2026

Dear Friends, 

The Worship and Music Conference at Montreat Conference Center was outstanding this year, as always. The conference leaders were amazing. The Adult Choir rehearsed twice each day and also sang in daily Worship. There were 400 singers in the Adult Choir! I brought back lots of music and ideas to share with you.

I also attended the Augsburg Fortress Summer Music Clinic last week at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in West Columbia. It was a Friday and half-day Saturday, and it was good. I have music to use at Providence from that clinic also.

Chancel Choir begins Wednesday evening rehearsals again next Wednesday, August 5, after having July off. (Schools in this district start back on August 5.) Instrument Group and Adult Handbell Choir will meet again on Sunday afternoons, except for Session Sundays, beginning in September. No Sunday afternoon rehearsals on Labor Day weekend.
