From the Study...
Dear Friends,
The letters and notes we write to each other are small windows in time we can look through and see a moment in the past as we reread them. I just read the note I sent last year for the December newsletter. The world was in the throes of a pandemic then and we were all trying to figure out how to live with the virus which was causing it. Many holiday traditions would have to be set aside and much of that Christmas closeness would have to be avoided. Here we are a year later and the virus is still with us. But this creative spirit that God placed within us has since come up with the vaccine we had prayed for and put it to work. Now we are working our way back to the ways and traditions we had grown to love so much, but had to step away from for a while.
I pray that this Advent/Christmas season will be one of renewed hope and thanksgiving for you. I pray that this Child who was born into the world on the first Christmas will find new places in your spirit this Christmas. And may all the blessings of home, family, and friends be refreshed in all of us this Christmas!
Grace and peace,
Mike
