Beatitude Book Club
Looking for more peace in your life, and the blessing of being with other women who share that same goal? Join us for the Beatitude Book Club, an in-home gathering that starts on Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 pm.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month, we’ll get together to explore books that inspire us to think deeply about our faith and the ways in which it can help us live more abundantly. We’ll delve deeply into topics like what it means to live faithfully in today’s complex world, where and how we can care for ourselves as a child of God, and how we can love and serve others with compassion and grace.
We’ll start things off with a short read called Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith Through Others, by Barbara Brown Taylor. Feel free to order the book, download on Kindle, or listen on Audible. Please know there is no requirement for having read the whole book by that time!
A quick intro from the link:
The renowned and beloved New York Times bestselling author of An Altar in the World and Learning to Walk in the Dark recounts her moving discoveries of finding the sacred in unexpected places while teaching the world’s religions to undergraduates in rural Georgia, revealing how God delights in confounding our expectations.
If you’re interested in being a part of this group, please email Teresa Coles and let her know. As with most book clubs, we’ll take turns selecting books and moderating discussions.
