Dear Friends,

As I am writing this, we are about 4 weeks into this Lenten season. Easter Day (April 20) is about 3 weeks away. Of course, the date of Easter Sunday changes each year and is based on the lunar cycle. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox. This full moon is referred to as the Paschal moon. The equinox is March 21 (or, astronomically, sometimes March 20). This year the Paschal moon is Sunday, April 13, making Easter Day the following Sunday (April 20). Ash Wednesday, by the way, is 40 days before Easter Day (not counting Sundays).

I really enjoy remembering that whole plan of finding Easter Day!
