Music Notes

I hope that you’re having a good end-of-summer.  Happy September!

As I look at the weeks in September, I see lots of good things.  Rally Day and Highland Games for kids will be the Sunday after Labor Day.  On Sunday, September 19, we will celebrate Heritage Sunday with Christ of the Celts study before Worship, 11:00 Worship with bagpipes, and after-church activities.  All of that is in addition to all of the other wonderful parts of Providence Worship and fellowship to look forward to.  The first Sunday of October is World Communion Sunday, and, by then, I will be saying Happy Fall to you.

I want to say thanks to Steve and Janet for hosting a fun cookout for Providence Musicians at the lake near their home.  It was so good to have a gathering time together.

As you know, Chancel Choir has an end-of-summer rehearsal break on August 25 and September 1. Then, we will be back to regular Wednesday rehearsals beginning September 8. I will be in touch with you about handbell and instrument rehearsals.

I hope that you will plan to be here at Providence for everything!
