Outreach & Missions: What a little casserole can do!

Less than 6 months in, it’s amazing to think we’re already delivering an average of 50 casseroles each month. But what’s more important than this number is what these meals mean to the people who receive them.

On every Holy Casseroley application, we ask people to tell us in a sentence or two how getting one of these casseroles could make their lives a little better or easier. Here’s a look at what just a few of them told us, in their own words:

My wife and I are caregivers of our son who was injured and is a TBI (traumatic brain injury) patient. My wife has a lot on her, and I think the casseroles would help her out a lot. Thank you!

I live on a fixed income, and this act of kindness means a great deal to us. Thank you!

I am a single mom with 3 children. A casserole means a lot - we can save money.

It would be a blessing to receive a Holy Casseroley. I’m 96 years old and can’t cook. They sound very good.

I am on disability, and I do not get much money each month. These casseroles would help me so much. Thank you!

I suffered a stroke, and my daughter helps me. An extra meal would help take stress off her. Thank you!

I am on oxygen and in a wheelchair, which makes cooking difficult at times. So getting a casserole would be enjoyed. Thank you!

It would be one more thing I could give thanks to the Lord for. He takes care of his own.

I am 86 years old and I don’t cook anymore. Gifts of food are always appreciated.

I recently lost my husband, and I have two small children.

I am elderly woman who can’t get around that good, and I don’t really cook that much because I am in a lot of pain. These extra meals really come in handy. Thank you.

It would make me happier, and easier for me to eat.

Home cooked? Delivered? Are you kidding me? May God Bless You!

As we approach our next Holy Casseroley Sunday on December 19, remember the grace that can come in an aluminum pan. And let’s fill that freezer to overflowing.

In His Service,

The Missions and Outreach team
