Christian Education

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I’m writing to you all today at the conclusion of Mental Illness Awareness Week. Mental Health is very important to all of us. Many of us have struggled the last several years dealing with the effects of the Covid Pandemic. I want you all to know that Providence Presbyterian and its staff are here to help you. Please reach out to Dr. Mike Bragan, Dr. Fran Bragan, or me if you feel you need assistance in anyway. The most important thing is to reach out for help.

There are other resources available for assistance with Mental Health Crisis.

  • The National Alliance on Mental Illness has recently expanded its resources to reach young people. The NAMI HelpLine — a free, nationwide peer-support service — recently added a text option, available by texting "HelpLine" to 62640. The NAMI HelpLine is available Monday–Friday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET, by phone at 1-800-950-NAMI (6264), via “Chat with us” online and email at info@nami.org.

  • In July of 2022 South Carolina became a participating state in the new Mental Health Crisis Hotline 988. Anyone who needs to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can dial 988.

Blessings to you and your family,

Rosie Robinson
