Greetings Providence Family,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all those who supported the Providence Easter Egg Hunt be either providing supplies or assisting the day of. The weather didn’t hold so we had to shift our activities in doors and use portions of the building for our egg hunt. We had about 20 children in attendance with many smiling faces.

This month we will be celebrating our high school and higher education graduates. Mark your calendars for May 15th for Baccalaureate Sunday. Graduates, please email me (rosiesolid@gmail.com) a picture along with a write up of what you have been doing and what your future plans are.

Is it time again to start having a Sunday School Class for our little ones. Starting May 1st, we will be offering a Sunday School class for children up to 5th grade at 9:45. Those in 6th grade and up are encouraged to attend our Youth Group Coffee House. Our hope is that this class will be too large and will need to split into two different age groups. I will teach this class for the time being but if you are interested in teaching this class, please let me know. All teaching materials will be provided. We all make a baptismal commitment to help teach the children of the church. In addition to this Sunday School Class we will be offering a Nursery again. We need volunteers to help with the Nursery too.

In June some of our teenagers will be attending the Montreat Youth Conference. We are exciting to be able to attend this conference again. The last time we were able to attend was the summer before Covid. Please be on the look out for ways that you can support this experience.
